Sailing holidays in Rhodes, Kos, Patmos and more
Just to the east of the Cyclades lie the 163 islands that make up the Dodecanese. It is known to have some of the most stunning scenery, untouched inlets and unpopulated bays where you can escape to. The 14 larger islands of the Dodecanese include Agathonisi, Astipalea (Astypalia), Halki (Chalki), Kalimnos (Kalymnos), Karpathos, Kassos, Kastelorizo (Megisti), Kos, Leros, Lipsi, Nisyros, Patmos, Simi (Symi) and Tilos. Most sailing charters will begin in the better known islands of Rhodes and Kos as well as Samos to the north of Patmos, with easy access to international airports.
To avoid the strong Meltemi winds, the best time to organise a yacht charter in the Dodecanese is during the months of spring from May and June as well as the start of autumn in September and October.
